A change
The game has changed, it's now a third person shooter.
You are a mercenary that need to kill as much aliens as possible in a sci fi setting.
You have all guns at your disposal. The only thing you need to pick are ammunitions.
Aliens will come at you in hordes. Every room has a set of aliens. The further you get,
the bigger the aliens and sturdier. The only thing you need to keep your attention on is your health.
The assets I use are all available in the asset store.
For the level I use the 3D sci fi started kit, the level is very basic with big rooms serving the hordes of alien and smaller rooms or corridors for ammunition pick ups and health pick ups.
For character I currently use the standard asset third person controller aka Ethan to navigate the level and check for bugs and wall, floor and roof displacement.
For the aliens and character I'll use the sci fi mega character pack.
It comes with a ton of aliens, robots and playable characters.
They all have animation and i just need to link them all.
For the camera, I've attached the post processing effect.
I've turned on bloom, chromatic aberration, motion blur, grain and fog effects.
I want to give the player an dynamic view of the game and feel like they are playing an triple A game.
For scripts I still need to find a suitable tutorial and how to make an main menu screen.
What I want to add extra are the health and ammunition hover assets for pickups.
For today I started building the level.
It took me a couple of hours.
I've been busy from 12 pm to 12 am with breaks and group meetings.
In total I've been 8 hours busy with this project.
Searching and downloading assets: 2 hours
Testing the assets: 2 hours
Building the level: 4 hours
